French sideboard from the 1940s by René and Gilbert Schmitt. Solid light oak and veneered structure with a white limed finish. Geometric decoration on both doors, with a ceramic medallion in the center depicting a knight, enhanced with a twisted, gilded wooden frame, as on the base. High-quality workmanship, unique piece. Good vintage condition, some signs of age and wear (see photos). The piece has been restored.
