French “Dagobert” style stool. Solid wood frame painted and velvet seat (original fabric and paint). Very attractive craftsmanship and decorative details throughout the stool: lion paw-shaped legs, painted rosettes in the center of the base, patterned velvet and studded finish. Beautiful patina of age that we wanted to preserve in its current state. Pronounced signs of age and wear throughout the stool: woodworm holes (treated), paint chips, wear on the velvet (see photos).
