Description

Superb deckchair daybed by Jules Leleu manufactured by Jean Prouvé for the Plateau d’Assy sanatorium in 1934. Red lacquered steel mesh frame (original paint), solid oak armrests and legs. Simple and very elegant design. The deckchair can be reclined to different positions. Very good vintage condition, with some small imperfections on the seat and chips in the paint (see photos). Mattress and cushions recently replaced.
